Catering Bartender

Serving clients and guests at Jorgensen Farms’ unique event venues is the most important part of the experience we provide. Food and drink are a large part of celebrations, and the Catering Bartenders will be responsible for demonstrating exceptional bar and guest service during an event.


The Catering Bartenders will be responsible for ensuring that setup, preparation and execution of bar service are completed in a timely and organized fashion and with a positive attitude. Having effective verbal communication skills is a must, as the Catering Bartenders will be interacting with team members and guests during all shifts.

In this role, the Catering Bartenders must be prepared to jump in to do whatever is needed to ensure a successful guest experience. Having the ability to think and act quickly under pressure will enable the Bartending Team to effectively and calmly handle any issue that arises, ensuring that bar and guest service is not disrupted.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bar Service

  • Work with a team to serve, bus, and manage alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service needs during events

  • Preparing and setting up glassware, beverage, and bar supplies

  • Follow procedures and manuals for professional beverage service

  • Ensure cleanliness of equipment and workspaces and adherence to safety standards before, during, and after bar service

  • Unpack, prepare and repack client product

  • Take inventory of client product before and after service

  • Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for JF Staff and Guests*


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Guest-centric and Team-focused mentality

  • Minimum of 1 year of bar service experience

  • TIPS/ServSafe certification or the ability to pass the certification course

  • Ability to lift equipment up to 20 pounds and remain on their feet for a minimum of 6 hours

  • Availability to work a variety of shifts on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Conditions: Event shifts are typically 9-10 hours. Weekend and evening availability is mandatory. Shifts are primarily available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during peak season (April through December). A Bartending Staff member may be required to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.

Compensation: Bartending Staff at Jorgensen Farms will be compensated with an hourly wage. There are opportunities for hourly wage increases and growth within the organization. This position is an on-call position, with no guaranteed number of hours and no mandatory shifts. Tips may be collected and split between staff.
