A certified organic farm, Jorgensen is passionate about nurturing the land to provide visitors with a pure understanding of its purpose.
We are stewards of the land.
We believe that place—the physical spaces we share, the time we move through together—is an opportunity for connection with the miraculous gifts we have all been given. And what we believe in, we nurture. At Jorgensen, cultivating our land and strengthening our community go hand-in-hand, each benefiting the other. We find joy in offering the fruits of our labor to our neighbors, in being a gathering place for times of celebration, in taking what we grow and drawing out its potential in organic cuisine, special events, and exceptional floral design. We find great fulfillment in welcoming others to be part of our farm’s story.
Everything grown here gets used locally.
One hundred acres of pastoral farmland located in the peaceful suburbs of Columbus, Ohio—one of the fastest growing cities in America—Jorgensen Farms enjoys an ideal setting rich in natural resources and conveniently close to urban ones. We are a graceful expression of authentic farm culture, balancing the sophisticated and the rustic so that anyone on our farm can feel how beautiful and meaningful the land can be. Jorgensen balances the elegance of a country estate with the warmth of a decades-old, family farm. In many ways, we find the narrow, middle way; we are uncompromising in all that we do, from growing and harvesting diverse, organic food and flowers to hosting some of the region’s most distinct and beautiful events.
In nurturing healthy and active farmland, we can nourish healthy and active people.
We are proud to be a certified organic working farm. Dedicated to helping our land thrive and evolve, we feel honored to take care of it and humbled to share it. Our hundred acres have been cultivated for over one hundred years; the farm’s impact in the community runs deep.
As a family and a cohesive working team, our heart and soul thrive in the nurturing of our land in agile, sustainable ways.
Our History
Midwestern farmland preservation has been a way of life for five generations in the Jorgensen family. Val’s parents shared with her the joy of growing, cooking, and eating real food while growing up on the family farm in Michigan.
In 1992, she started her own farm in Ohio to teach her four sons how to garden, care for animals, and explore the natural world. A decade later, in line with a family legacy of service to the land and relationships, she opened the farm to the public, launching Jorgensen Farms in 2002.
